Democratic Senators in the U.S. Senate are pushing for a bipartisan process to draft legislation on cryptocurrency market structure.

BlockBeats News, September 21st, according to The Block, twelve Democratic senators in the United States issued a statement on Friday urging their Republican colleagues to allow for bipartisan input on the cryptocurrency market structure legislation currently advancing in Congress.

The statement was signed by a group of Democratic lawmakers involved in cryptocurrency affairs, including Kirsten Gillibrand (New York), Cory Booker (New Jersey), Ruben Gallego (Arizona), Mark Warner (Virginia), and others.

Previously, the group had released a seven-pillar framework for U.S. cryptocurrency market regulation to lay the groundwork for negotiations. Meanwhile, Republicans are pushing forward with their drafted U.S. Digital Asset Market Clarity Act in the Senate, a bill that has already passed the House of Representatives.
