BlockBeats News, September 22, Binance founder CZ stated in a post that “Web 3 education platform Giggle Academy announced that it would accept cryptocurrency donations and received over $1 million within 12 hours. This is really crazy and far beyond my expectations. There are many good people and excellent cryptocurrency professionals in the world. So far, 90% of the donations have come from meme coins. I still don’t understand how a $5 million market cap token generated $900,000 in donation fees within 12 hours. I don’t know who created it or how its smart contract was coded. But still, thank you. This will forever change my view of meme coins. Meme coins have utility! Giggle Academy will properly utilize these donations, which will be used to incentivize contributors and accelerate growth, not to pay employee salaries. In the foreseeable future, I personally will cover the costs of employees and servers.”
Furthermore, CZ reiterated that Giggle Academy did not create a token and has no plans to create one in the foreseeable future, as they do not want to complicate a free educational platform with tokenomics.
