BlockBeats News, September 25th, several cryptocurrency company executives will attend a roundtable next week to discuss the “regulatory coordination efforts” of the two major U.S. financial regulatory agencies.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) issued a notice on Wednesday stating that it will co-host a roundtable with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) on Monday to coordinate financial regulatory policies, including cryptocurrencies. Representatives from cryptocurrency exchanges Kraken and Crypto.com, as well as prediction market platforms Kalshi and Polymarket, will participate in the panel discussion.
Against the backdrop of this roundtable, members of Congress are currently considering legislation to establish a U.S. digital asset market structure, which could clarify the roles of the SEC and CFTC in cryptocurrency regulation. Although the House of Representatives passed a version of the “CLARITY Act” in July, the Senate has not yet voted on it.
