The SEC has designated the Naoris Protocol as the financial industry's reference model for transitioning to post-quantum cryptography.

BlockBeats News, October 7th, the U.S. SEC officially designated the Naoris Protocol in the “Post-Quantum Financial Infrastructure Framework” (PQFIF) as a reference model for the financial industry’s transition to post-quantum cryptography. This strategic document submitted to the U.S. Cryptocurrency Task Force places the Naoris Protocol at the core of the U.S. cybersecurity regulatory priority.

This strategic document was released against the backdrop of the rise of quantum computing, where the threat to digital asset protection is becoming existential: by 2034, the probability of quantum-related computers breaking the RSA-2048 algorithm ranges from 17% to 34%, posing a threat to trillions of dollars in digital assets. The “Post-Quantum Financial Infrastructure Framework” references Naoris three times.

The Naoris Protocol stands out with its “Sub-Zero Layer” architecture, which allows for the integration of post-quantum cryptography into existing EVM blockchains without the need for a hard fork or interruption. Its approach employs NIST-approved algorithms (ML-KEM, ML-DSA, SLH-DSA) to safeguard blockchain infrastructure.
