Source: InsiderInsider has learned that Beeson has narrowed the list of Federal Reserve Chair candidates to five individuals.

BlockBeats News, October 10th, according to CNBC, after a series of rigorous interviews, U.S. Treasury Secretary Yellen has narrowed down the list of Federal Reserve Chair candidates from 11 people to 5 people. The final candidate may be nominated in January next year, but not necessarily for the Chair position. According to a senior Treasury Department official, the remaining candidate list includes two current Federal Reserve officials, Vice Chair for Supervision Bowman and Governor Waller. As well as National Economic Council Director Hassett, former Fed Governor Warsh, and BlackRock Chief Investment Officer Rick Rieder.

The Treasury Department plans to conduct a new round of interviews with all five candidates in the coming weeks and months. The interviews will be hosted by Yellen and will include two senior Treasury Department officials and two senior White House officials. Due to Yellen’s focus on the upcoming World Bank/IMF meetings in Washington next week, followed by a long visit to Asia with the President, officials said the interview process may not conclude until after Thanksgiving. Subsequently, Yellen plans to submit a smaller list to Trump, who will make the final decision. However, this person is likely to be nominated first as a Federal Reserve Governor and then nominated as Federal Reserve Chair. (Golden Finance)
