BlockBeats News, November 10th, Trust Layer L1 blockchain XION announced its joining of the Bybit Blockchain for Good Alliance (BGA) and the launch of the Global Impact Accelerator (GIA) project. This project aims to provide early-stage funding, technical support, and institutional resources to entrepreneurs building trust-based systems in emerging markets. Its goal is to help founders translate ideas into real-world impact, validate their effectiveness, and then scale them globally through open-source, verifiable infrastructure.
Each cycle of the event will support 3 teams, requiring them to develop products based on XION’s verifiable infrastructure that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Founders will receive mentorship from XION engineers, oversight from an advisory board, milestone-based funding, and quarterly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) assessments.
During the event, a Demo Day will be held for project teams, providing exposure to venture capital as well as opportunities within the BGA/UNDP partner network (including policymakers and non-governmental organizations).
To date, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has supported over 30 impact-driven startups; the World Food Programme (WFP) has used blockchain technology to assist over 1 million refugees; and Estonia has been using blockchain to safeguard national records since 2012. Now, XION is scaling this model through its verifiable infrastructure.
