Bitfinex Analyst: Due to factors such as mining pool technology improvements, individual Bitcoin miners are re-entering the market

BlockBeats News, November 28th, despite intensified industry competition and rising costs, individual miners have not disappeared. Instead, according to a Bitfinex analyst, they are re-entering the market with the continuous improvement of mining pool technology. The analyst stated: “Tools like CKPool — a platform known for low latency and friendly to solo mining — are making this mining method more accessible. Amateur mining is experiencing a small revival.” The driving factors of this trend include the widespread adoption of efficient and low-cost ASIC miners, the application of off-peak electricity usage strategies, waste heat recovery technology, and the emergence of firmware such as BraiinsOS. BraiinsOS allows miners to lower device frequencies to achieve optimal efficiency.

The company also observed that individual miners, especially those using efficient and low-noise mining equipment at home, are experiencing a phenomenon known as “lottery ticket” spreading rapidly on social media. Last week, an individual miner successfully mined a Bitcoin block within less than a month of deploying the mining rig.

Bitfinex stated that if large miners were to significantly exit the market, medium-sized industrial miners would become the new major participants, with individual miners and amateur miners still far behind in terms of capacity. Bitfinex concluded: “This is an interesting pattern, but there is still a long way to go before individual miners can compete on the same scale and level of industrialized operators.”
