December 17, 2025 — Bhutan’s National Day — the world’s first sovereign gold-backed token will launch on the Solana blockchain. The token, named “TER,” which means “treasure” in Dzongkha, Bhutan’s official language.
TER will be pegged 1:1 to Bhutan’s national reserve of gold in real-time auditable and instant settlement SPL token form, marking its debut in the world of blockchain.
