CZ: Bullish on Tokenization, Payments, and AI for the Future

BlockBeats News, January 22, Binance founder CZ spoke at the World Economic Forum in Davos on the “New Age of Finance” panel, stating, “The overall scale of the exchange platform has also exceeded last year. At present, the crypto industry has two mature industries: exchange platforms and stablecoins. Looking forward, three new directions are promising:

The first is Tokenization, which is a very important direction. By tokenizing some assets, governments can actually solve financial problems more efficiently, improve the efficiency of the financial system operation, and promote the development of related industries and trading markets.

The second is Payments. In the past, we have also tried crypto payments, but frankly, there are not many people who actually use them. However, a trend is emerging now: traditional payment methods are integrating with cryptographic technology. For example, users use cards such as Visa and Mastercard for payment, funds are deducted from the account, merchants receive fiat currency, and settlement and bridging are done through stablecoins and blockchain in the background. This model is gradually being implemented and will definitely develop in the future.

The third direction is Artificial Intelligence (AI). He believes that the “native currency” of an AI Agent should naturally be a cryptocurrency, and blockchain is currently the most suitable native technology interface for AI Agents. Today’s AI is not yet a true Agent; they will not buy airplane tickets, book restaurants, or directly make payments for you. But once AI truly has the ability to act and transact, cryptocurrency will become its most natural and native payment and settlement method.
