Nifty Gateway Commits to Permanently Host Some NFT Metadata, Extends Withdrawal Deadline to April 23

BlockBeats News, January 28th, Nifty Gateway, a Gemini-owned NFT platform, announced in a shutdown update that it will commit to permanently hosting the metadata and media files of some NFTs. The platform stated that most NFTs will be migrated to the decentralized storage network Arweave for long-term preservation; however, a small number of NFTs minted in 2021 and earlier will have their metadata permanently tied to Nifty’s own servers, which the platform will continue to host indefinitely.

Meanwhile, Nifty Gateway has extended the NFT withdrawal deadline to April 23rd (90 days) and is developing a batch withdrawal tool to allow users to withdraw multiple NFTs at once. (The Block)
