BlockBeats News, February 26th: The prediction market Kalshi took its first enforcement action against insider trading, imposing an insider trading fine on an associate of MrBeast.
Artem Kaptur, a well-known YouTuber MrBeast’s video editor employee, used his position to access non-public information from MrBeast’s channel and traded on related event contracts on Kalshi. He will be banned from accessing Kalshi for the next 2 years and fined $20,397.58, including confiscation of illegal profits of $5,397.58 and an additional fine of $15,000.
