BlockBeats News, March 4th, OpenAI’s lead researcher on inference models, Max Schwarzer, announced his departure on X platform and his move to Anthropic.
It is reported that Schwarzer was one of the early contributors to the o1 inference model. He led the post-training of o1 and o3 and has been heading the entire post-training team over the past year, delivering GPT-5, 5.1, 5.2, and 5.3-Codex.
Max stated that after joining Anthropic, he will be focusing on reinforcement learning research.
