South Korean Prosecutors Sell 320.8 Seized Bitcoins, Valued at Around $21.5 Million

BlockBeats News, March 10th, the Gwangju Local Prosecutors’ Office in South Korea has sold 320.8 Bitcoins and transferred around $21.5 million in proceeds to the national treasury.

At the end of January, the Gwangju Local Prosecutors’ Office lost a large amount of Bitcoin that had been seized due to a criminal case. During a routine inspection of the seized Bitcoin, they inadvertently accessed a fake phishing website, allowing hackers to eventually return the 320.8 Bitcoins.
