BlockBeats News, March 13th – U.S. President Trump stated that, against the backdrop of the war with Iran, the U.S. is conducting “surveillance” on Iranian nationals residing in the country due to concerns about the potential domestic terrorism threat.
Trump said in a Fox News interview aired on Friday, “We are watching them very, very closely. They are all under surveillance right now.” Trump stated that during the previous administration, over 1,700 Iranians illegally entered the U.S. When asked if the U.S. was prepared to take action against sleeper cells, Trump said that any such actions would be taken “very legally, very carefully.” Trump said, “You have to be careful in many ways because there are also many good people.”
Trump did not point out any specific threat posed by Iranians within the U.S. However, since the U.S. and Israel launched a war against Iran, law enforcement has been on high alert in recent days to prevent potential attacks. (Golden Finance)
