
BlockBeats News, March 18, according to Bloomberg, Samsung Electronics is considering shifting its memory chip contract model to multi-year agreements, much longer than the current practice, to help stabilize supply and alleviate concerns over shortages of key components.
Samsung Electronics Co-CEO Jun Young-hyun stated at the annual shareholders meeting that Samsung is considering extending its existing quarterly or yearly contracts to up to three to five years. He noted that with AI memory chip demand expected to surge through 2026, this adjustment is significant.
