Coinbase Announces Launch of Stock Perpetual Futures Contract

BlockBeats News, March 20, According to official sources, today Coinbase announced the launch of Stock Perpetual Futures Contracts, further expanding its global derivatives product line and becoming one of the first major centralized exchanges to offer such products. This move not only consolidates Coinbase’s position in the international derivatives market but also advances its long-term strategy of building a “one-stop trading platform,” allowing traders to concurrently access crypto assets, traditional assets, and emerging assets.

Stock Perpetual Futures are open to eligible traders outside the United States, allowing traders to synthetically hedge U.S. listed stocks with leverage and support 24/7 continuous trading. Currently supports U.S. stocks such as Apple, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Nvidia, Meta, Tesla, and ETF perpetual contracts such as SPY, QQQ, with a maximum leverage of 10x for individual stocks, and 20x for ETF perpetual contracts, settled in USDC.
