BlockBeats News, April 15th, according to the Senate Banking Committee website, next week’s agenda (April 21st) only includes a nomination hearing, and there is no scheduled discussion/amendment meeting on digital assets or the CLARITY Act as anticipated by the market.
Additionally, according to Politico, Senator Thom Tillis is set to release the final draft this week, which is the last puzzle piece needed before the committee holds the markup meeting. The bill still needs to align with the Senate Agriculture Committee, pass a full Senate vote with a 60-vote threshold (requiring Democratic support), and then coordinate with the House.
Some analysts pointed out that if no markup meeting is scheduled between April 20th and 25th, the midterm election politics could potentially kill the bill entirely, as bipartisan cooperation would completely vanish.
