BlockBeats News, April 16th – U.S. Treasury Secretary Yellen said on Wednesday local time that he is optimistic about Trump’s nominated Fed chair candidate, Powell, taking office as scheduled.
“He will have a hearing on the 21st of this month. He is an outstanding candidate. We know that Republican members of the Senate Banking Committee are unanimous on this,” Yellen said at the White House. “I am very optimistic that Powell will assume the position of Fed Chair as scheduled.”
