AI startup AgentMail raises $6 million in seed funding, led by General Catalyst

BlockBeats News, March 11th, according to TechCrunch report, startup AgentMail, which is building an email service for AI agents, announced a $6 million seed round of funding. The round was led by General Catalyst, with participation from Y Combinator, Phosphor Capital, angel investors Paul Graham, HubSpot CTO Dharmesh Shah, Supabase CEO Paul Copplestone, and Ramp CTO Karim Atiyeh.

Alongside the funding announcement, AgentMail also introduced an automatic onboarding API. Developers can directly integrate AI agents through this interface, allowing them to self-register and create email addresses. The platform also enables users to manually configure and manage mailboxes, permissions, allowlists, and API keys.

AgentMail Co-founder and CEO Haakam Aujla stated that AgentMail is built from the ground up with the aim of providing AI agents with a human-like email experience akin to what a human experiences in Gmail or Outlook—minus the elements of the human User Interface (UI).
