Australian pension fund Hostplus is considering offering its members a cryptocurrency investment option

BlockBeats News, March 24th, according to Bloomberg, one of Australia’s largest pension funds, Hostplus, is considering offering its members a cryptocurrency investment option. The fund, which manages over 150 billion Australian dollars in assets, plans to offer Bitcoin and other digital assets through the Choiceplus investment option. Choiceplus allows members to autonomously manage their retirement savings portfolio, with assets under this option currently accounting for approximately 1% of the fund’s total size. Chief Investment Officer Sam Sicilia stated that some members have a demand for crypto assets, and related products could be launched as early as the next fiscal year, subject to regulatory approval. The initiative is still in the design phase, with unresolved issues such as consumer protection.
