BlockBeats News, January 19, According to Cointelegraph, Binance Australia has re-enabled its fiat gateway two years after facing “debanking” from the local banking system.
Binance Australia resumed fiat deposits and withdrawals via bank transfers and PayID last week, after these services were suspended in 2023, forcing users to rely on bank cards or cryptocurrency for deposits and withdrawals. Matt Poblocki, head of Binance Australia and New Zealand, stated that fiat on-and-off-ramps are a critical link between traditional finance and digital assets, and he noted that regulatory certainty and the expansion of fiat-based products will be key focuses in 2026.
