BlockBeats News, December 4th, Bitget Wallet launched the Social Login feature, allowing users to create and access their self-hosted wallet through Google, Apple ID, or email, without the need to record or store a recovery phrase.
This feature is built on TEE (Trusted Execution Environment) technology, where the private key is generated, encrypted, and used within a hardware isolated area, making it impossible to view, copy, or export. Wallet activation takes only a few seconds, and users can restore access by re-logging in when switching devices, with all signature operations completed within the TEE.
According to Bitget Wallet, this solution is built on AWS Nitro Enclaves. Unlike solutions relying on multi-party computation, TEE keeps all critical operations on the local device, simplifying the recovery process and reducing system complexity. While there have been previous attempts at social login in the industry, solutions combining TEE hardware isolation and achieving mobile-scale implementation are still relatively rare.
