BlockBeats News, October 21st, according to Bloomberg, the government of British Columbia (BC) in Canada announced on Monday that it is proposing legislation to restrict the electricity use of artificial intelligence data centers and is planning to permanently ban new cryptocurrency mining projects.
The provincial Ministry of Energy stated that priority will be given to providing grid connections for other industries such as mining and natural gas facilities, as these industries can create more job opportunities and income for BC residents.
