CITIC Securities: Expects Dollar Weakness to Persist at Least Through 2025

BlockBeats News, September 26th: A recent report by Citic Securities pointed out that starting from 2011, various factors such as the relative advantage of the U.S. economy, interest rate differentials, and the high attractiveness of U.S. dollar assets have driven the U.S. dollar into a strong cycle lasting more than a decade.

However, starting in the second half of 2022, the narrowing gap in monetary policies between the U.S. and other countries has pushed the U.S. dollar into a new weakening cycle. Considering factors such as the gap in U.S. monetary policy and the slowdown in U.S. economic momentum, it is expected that the U.S. dollar’s weakness will continue at least through the year 2025.
