Fed's Quarles: The ultimate Fed rate may settle around 3%, a 50 bps rate cut is currently not under consideration

BlockBeats News, September 23rd, Federal Reserve’s Bullard stated that he believes the Fed’s policy is modestly restrictive. The neutral interest rate is 100-125 basis points below the current rate. However, at the moment, he personally has not considered a 50 basis point rate cut. He believes caution is needed when taking aggressive measures. If moving in a direction to restore the inflation rate to the target level, the rate could be lowered. Ultimately, the Fed rate may settle around 3%, and the inflation rate will fall to 2%.
