BlockBeats News, October 17th, according to Bloomberg, the Swiss gambling regulatory authority has filed a criminal complaint against the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) following its preliminary investigation into blockchain token sales related to the World Cup tickets.
According to its official statement, Gespa (the authority also responsible for regulating lotteries and sports betting) stated that the FIFA Collect platform constitutes “gambling services provided without the required Swiss license, and therefore, it is considered as illegal activity.”
