Former CEO of Alameda Research Caroline Ellison to Be Paroled in January

BlockBeats News, December 26th, according to records from the Federal Bureau of Prisons, former Co-CEO of Alameda Research Caroline Ellison is set to be released from federal prison on January 21, 2026. Caroline Ellison had previously been transferred from a prison in Connecticut to home confinement in October.

On December 20th, the U.S. SEC issued a litigation notice stating that former CEO Sam Bankman-Fried is still in federal prison for fraud, while executives including former CEO Caroline Ellison of Alameda Research under his leadership have agreed to a settlement, which is still subject to court approval. Other executives who have signed the settlement agreement include former CTO of FTX Trading Zixiao Wang and former Co-Head of Engineering at FTX Nishad Singh. (The Block)
