He revealed that the authorities have launched a prevention platform that has attracted thousands of registrations. By 2026, France has seen 41 cryptocurrency-related kidnapping cases, averaging one every 2.5 days. In 2025, such “plumbers attacks” globally increased by 75% compared to the previous year, with France being the most affected country accounting for about 40% of the total incidents in Europe.
