BlockBeats News, April 6th – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Saeed Khatibzadeh condemned the U.S. threat to Iranian infrastructure as a “war crime” and warned that any country assisting Washington would bear legal responsibility. He stated, “Undoubtedly, merely making such threats is in itself a war crime,” pointing out that the U.S. talks about targeting ‘energy and industrial infrastructure’ on the one hand, while giving Israel ‘the green light to attack civilian targets’ on the other.
He emphasized that these actions constitute war crimes under international humanitarian law and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. “All countries should understand that any cooperation and assistance provided during the commission of its crimes by the United States must be brought to account and recognized as war crimes and crimes against humanity.” (FX168)
