Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps Transfers About $1 Billion Through UK Crypto Exchange

BlockBeats News, January 11, Blockchain analytics company TRM Labs reported that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran has been transferring funds since 2023 through two UK-registered cryptocurrency exchanges, Zedcex and Zedxion, amounting to approximately $1 billion to evade international sanctions.

IRGC-related transactions accounted for 56% of the total volume on the two exchanges from 2023 to 2025, mostly using the Tron network’s USDT. The funds grew from around $24 million in 2023 to $619 million in 2024 and $410 million in 2025. The two exchanges claim to comply with anti-money laundering regulations but did not respond to requests for comments. (The Block)
