Netanyahu Orders Direct Talks with Lebanon, US Media Reports First Meeting to Be Held Next Week in US

U.S. media reported that the first negotiation will be held in the U.S. next week. The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office statement said that the focus of the negotiations is to disarm Hezbollah in Lebanon and “to establish a peaceful relationship between Israel and Lebanon.”

Israel will be represented by its Ambassador to the U.S., Yehiel Leiter, while Lebanon will be represented by its Ambassador to the U.S., Nada Hamad Mawla, and the U.S. delegation will be led by U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon, Michel Issa.
