The statement said Aoun thanked Trump for pushing forward the ceasefire agreement process, and Trump promised to “meet Lebanon’s ceasefire request as soon as possible.” According to Axios, an Israeli Defense Ministry official said that the ceasefire agreement with Lebanon could be announced Thursday night local time.
