BlockBeats News, December 11, Founder of the cryptocurrency payment app Valora, Jackie Bona, announced in a blog post on Wednesday that her team will be joining the payment giant Stripe, which is increasingly delving into blockchain technology and the stablecoin space.
Valora is a mobile-focused cryptocurrency payment app built on top of the Ethereum layer 2 network CELO. The startup split from cLabs (the development organization behind the Celo blockchain) in 2021, raising $20 million at the time.
A Stripe spokesperson has confirmed this news, adding, “The Valora team’s experience in cryptocurrency wallet infrastructure and on-chain developer tools will bring valuable expertise to Stripe’s work in the crypto field.”
