The U.S. Senate will vote on the sixth short-term funding bill on the 8th.

BlockBeats News, October 8th. According to a message from the U.S. Congress, John Thune, the Senate Majority Leader and Republican Senator, stated on October 7th local time that the Senate would once again vote on two short-term funding bills on the 8th. These bills include the Republican version passed by the House of Representatives and the Democratic version. Thune pointed out that the reason the vote did not take place that day was due to procedural issues and time constraints.

He revealed that some members of both parties had dinner together that evening to discuss the progress of the government shutdown but did not disclose any further details or alternative plans. This will be the Senate’s sixth attempt to pass a temporary spending bill to end the federal government shutdown, with the previous five attempts failing to pass. (BlockBeats)
