The US Department of Defense has detailed plans for deploying ground troops in Iraq

BlockBeats News, March 21st, according to CBS News, multiple sources who listened to the relevant briefing revealed that U.S. Department of Defense officials have prepared detailed plans to deploy U.S. ground troops to Iran. The sources said that as Trump weighs options in the U.S.-led conflict with Iran, senior military commanders have submitted specific requests aimed at preparing for such options.

Sources said Trump has been considering whether to deploy ground troops to the region. It is currently unclear under what circumstances he would authorize the use of ground troops. On Thursday, when asked about the issue of ground troops in the Oval Office, he told reporters, “No, I will not deploy troops anywhere,” but then added, “If I were to deploy, I certainly wouldn’t tell you.”

Two sources said the military has also held meetings to prepare for how to handle Iranian soldiers and paramilitary operatives who may be detained during operations if Trump decides to send U.S. ground troops, including where these Iranians would be sent. (Via BlockBeats)
