At the meeting, Vitalik stated that Ethereum’s short-term goal is scalability, with the method being to increase Ethereum L1’s Gas limit while maintaining decentralization.
Ethereum’s mid-term goal is L2 cross-chain interoperability, aiming for faster transaction confirmation. The long-term vision is to have a secure, simple, quantum-resistant, and formally verified version of Ethereum.
