White House Spokesperson: Trump Has No Plans to Pardon SBF

BlockBeats News, February 25th. According to Forbes, convicted FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried is launching a futile bid for a US presidential pardon. Despite serving a 25-year sentence in federal prison, he continues to post relentlessly criticizing the “deep state” and other opponents frequently mentioned in the MAGA camp.

While Bankman-Fried did not explicitly state his intentions, his social media blitz seems clear: to persuade US President Trump to release him from federal prison. Considering Trump has previously pardoned several well-known figures convicted of financial crimes, this strategy does not seem entirely illogical.

However, for the White House, Bankman-Fried’s plea seems destined to fall on deaf ears. In response to a request for comment, a White House spokesperson reiterated that Trump has no intention of pardoning Bankman-Fried.
