Zama Mainnet Goes Live, Completes First Ethereum Private Stablecoin cUSDT Transfer

BlockBeats News, December 31st, the privacy computing project Zama Protocol officially launched on the Ethereum mainnet and has completed the first transfer of the FHE (Fully Homomorphic Encryption)-based privacy stablecoin cUSDT. This is the first confidential ERC-20 transfer on the Ethereum L1, with a transaction cost of approximately 0.13 USD per transaction.

This solution achieves on-chain private transfers for any token through “asset wrapping,” where transaction amounts and wallet balances can remain confidential on-chain, marking a milestone in bringing FHE from theory to real-world production. This milestone may set the stage for the privacy narrative in 2026.
